Born and raised in Israel, I grew up on a Kibbutz with my eight siblings and spent most of my time dreaming, drawing and seeking new ways of creating. Inspired and encouraged by my mother, a well known children’s poet, I quickly developed my skills as an artist. And continued to further my skills at the Vital Art Institute in Tel-Aviv where I majored in illustration and design. By the time I was 20 years old, my illustrations were published in a number of children’s books and were recognized and awarded around the world.
After becoming a mother myself, my artistic focus changed and I started designing and producing children’s apparel. I developed a brand called “Petel” that specialised in children’s clothing featuring unique and playful patterns that celebrated childhood and made use of ethically sourced soft, durable natural fabrics.
In 2010, I found my way into wedding planning and design. Helping couples bring their dream weddings to life became a great passion of mine. I loved taking the time to learn each unique couple and weave together elements of each of them into natural, whimsical and elegant designs. I took great pleasure in connecting with my clients, many of which I am still in touch with today. With each event, my mission was clear: to relieve the bride and groom of the overwhelming details, so that they could be freed up to focus on the meaning of the day and be present with their loved ones.
My time as a wedding planner has been my key inspiration for establishing EleyOri. My commitment to my clients is to create a work of art that authentically speaks to the true essence of their union and partnership, and help them create their vows as a lasting memory.
I am currently based out of Nelson, B.C. where I live with my four beautiful, spunky children and dedicated husband.
I hope to touch your heart with my art.
Wishing you Mazal-Tov and many blessings.
